Wawa offers well marked, uncrowded
scenic rolling groomed trails with excellent snow
conditions from December to March. We're just north of
Michigan with good food and accommodations and a friendly

The French Connection ~ Wawa ~ Dubreuilville circle tour ~ 180 km/110 miles ~ 4 - 6 hrsWith a strong French speaking tradition and flare, Dubreuilville is a great place to visit! Most residents are fully bilingual and their hospitality superb. Stop at Pats Resto and try the "Poutine", a Quebecois hearty meal. Take the main trail to Hawk Junction where gas and food are available. From Hawk follow the main trail north through a highly populated moose area arriving in Dubreuilville. Return to Wawa via old logging roads and scenic McCormick Lake. |

The Golden Triangle ~ Wawa ~ Hawk Junction circle tour ~ 112 km/70 ~ miles 2.5 - 3 hrsFollow the routes of Wawa's gold rush claim stakers and Mormon railway builders. Take the main trail, then quite hilly terrain joining an old logging road system arriving in Hawk Junction for gas and food. Return to Wawa via Whitefish Lake and the Mission a small community established adjacent an abandoned fur trading post. |

The Badlands ~ Wawa ~ Steephill Falls DamThe "Badlands" is easily accessed via the Wawa ~ Hawk Junction route. It's an undulating treeless area, 32 km long and 6 km wide, excellent for free style open country sledding. Keep your eyes open for what was once "Park City" and is now an abandoned gold mine. |

WestSuperior Wilderness Trail ~ Sault Ste. Marie to Wawa ~ 330km/200milesWelcome to the longest groomed trail in Ontario connecting Northern Michigan and Sault Ste. Marie with the surplus snow communities of Wawa, Dubreuilville, White River, Hornepayne, Chapleau and Northern Ontario. If you are looking for a challenging trip with breathtaking hilly scenery and plenty of photo stops, then this is it. This trail is part of the T.O.P.S trail system. Snowmobiles are welcome everywhere in Town (speed limit 20 km/12 miles hr) except on Mission Road and on Broadway downtown from Main to Algoma streets (except intersection). |
